Ten Hoosiers selected in the 2019 MLB Draft

By Chris Feeny • @ChrisF3105 • June 6

As the 2019 MLB Draft came to an end on Wednesday evening it included ten members of Hoosier Baseball. The four seniors, four juniors, and two sophomores equaled a program record.

They were all recruited by Coach Lemonis and all played for both Coach Lemonis and Coach Mercer. And now they all have a chance to become professional ball players. It was a historic three days for the student athletes, their families and this program.

Some may pass on this opportunity and return to Bloomington in the Fall. Some will be assigned a minor league team very soon. Regardless of what the next few weeks bring for them, these three days in June will be remembered as the largest MLB Draft Class Hoosier Baseball has ever seen. Congrats to all the players and their families.
