A.J. Shepard – 2022 Hoosier Baseball verbal commit

‘’Canes 2022 C/UTL and Osbourn Park (VA) product AJ Shepard has committed to Indiana University and Head Coach Jeff Mercer. During the 2018 season AJ played under the guidance of Canes National 2022 Head Coach and Canes GM Dan Gitzen. Coach Gitzen had this to say about Shepard, “AJ is a very talented and young prospect who can play multiple positions defensively. He is a sound receiver who has a strong arm behind the dish and he can also play both CIF positions. He is athletic enough to even run out to the OF if need be. AJ provides a big time bat in the lineup that can hit for both power and average.” We would like to congratulate AJ and the Shepard family on his commitment to Indiana University. ‘’
