The Hoosiers attempt to even up the series

Bottom 10th: Iowa 0, Indiana 2 (FINAL)

Mathison leads off with a single. Pyne pops up high to the first baseman. MORGAN COLOPY WALK OFF BOMB hits the left field foul pole!

Top 10th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Kraft strikes out Michael Seegers to start the inning. Frazier gets on with a solid single to left field. A double to left field had Frazier heading home. Taylor with a relay from Glasser to Serruto had Taylor out at the plate. Sarsfield strikes out.

Bottom 9th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Phillip Glasser gets to second base on dropped fly ball error in the outfield. Bobby Whalen’s bunt attempt fails to get Glasser to third. Taylor is intentionally walked. Tibbitts grounds into a double play with a very controversial out call at first base that ends the inning. Free baseball at the BART.

Top 9th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Huckstorf grounds out to Glasser at short. Tello does the same thing. Cerny fields a grounder behind the 3-hole in right and throws out the runner. Hoosiers give up no runs through nine.

Bottom 8th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Morgan Colopy’s first at bat is a fly out to right field. Tyler Cerny pops up to second base. Serruto also elevates a pitch and now the Hoosiers have only one hit in the past eighth innings and only one run in the past 26 innings.

Top 8th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Morgan Colopy replaces Jessee in the order. He’s in right field and Taylor moves over the left field. A one-out walk of catcher Cade Moss gives Kraft some traffic to deal with as the top of the Iowa order comes up. Iowa pinch hits Coy Sarsfield who gets his first career hit to move Moss into scoring position. Indiana is shifting three infielders to the left for Keaton Anthony. He hits a rocket to Tibbitts who gets the runner at second, leaving runners at the corners for Iowa’s two biggest RBI guys. Brennen Dorighi grounds out to end the top of the inning.

Bottom 7th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Tibbitts strikes out to start the inning. Mathison flies out to left. Pyne flies out to center.

Top 7th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Ryan Kraft is in to relieve Luke Sinnard. Kraft strikes out Raider Tello. Kraft walks Hojnar on four pitches. After three attempts, Kraft picks Hojnar off of first. A strikeout sends the game to the stretch with no runs from either team.

Bottom 6th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Iowa’s first pitcher out of the bullpen is righty Zach Voelker. With one out he walks Whalen. Devin Taylor then grounds into a double play.

Top 6th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Top 5th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Tibbitts ⭐makes a great stop at first. Sinnard hits Sam Hojnar with a 1-2 pitch. A bunt single puts a runner in scoring position. A wild pitch advances the lead runner to third. Brayden Frazier misses the bunt attempt with two strikes and Sinnard freezes him with an 83-MPH change-up over the plate. A groundout to Pyne at third ends the threat.

Bottom 4th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Phillip Glasser goes up the middle for Indiana’s first baserunner of the game. Whalen hits a swinging bunt groundout that gets Glasser into scoring position. Devin Taylor hits a fly out to the left center warning track that advances Glasser to third with two outs. Brock Tibbitts worked a full count and then walked. Mathison walks on a 3-1 count bringing Pyne to the plate with the bases loaded and two out. All three are stranded as Pyne flies out to right field.

Top 4th: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

After a strikeout, Sinnard has his first baserunner to deal with. Keaton Anthony hit a single into shallow centerfield. Sinnard is unfased as he strikes out Brennen Dorighi. Kyle Huckstorf fouls off several full count pitches before going down on strikes to end the inning.

Bottom 3rd: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

It’s a pitcher’s duel for sure. All nine batters for both teams have had a plate appearance. All have been set down. Morgan was locating to both sides of the plate and ending the inning with his hardest pitch yet, striking out Peter Serruto with a 96 MPH fastball on the lower outside corner.

Top 3rd: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Sinnard gets two quick groundouts and a four-pitch strikeout. He’s only at 39 pitches through 3 innings. Still no baserunners for either team.

Bottom 2nd: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Tibbitts fouls off several full count pitches before grounding a ball back to the pitcher. Morgan gets Mathison to swing and miss on two 91-MPH cutters for a strikeout, and Josh Pyne hits the first pitch for a chopper to third.

Top 2nd: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Luke Sinnard is still cruising with multiple pitches working facing the minimum. He gets the final out with a strike out on a nasty 78-MPH curveball.

Bottom 1st: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Phillip Glasser, Bobby Whalen, and Devin Taylor see a lot of pitches from Iowa’s Marcus Morgan, but fail to reach base. Glasser and Taylor went down on strikes. Glasser swung at an 87-MPH insider slider and Taylor missed a 94-MPH fastball.

Top 1st: Iowa 0, Indiana 0

Luke Sinnard was sharp. In 16 pitches he struck out two and got a line out into a defensive shift. 1-2-3 inning.
