Bart Kaufman Field will be the site for the first Indiana home baseball competition open to the public since March of 2020. The event is scheduled to start at 5pm. iubase.com has confirmed that this is open to the public and sources are telling us that this will likely be two 6-inning exhibitions.

Indiana has a lot of first time players including an exciting true freshman class and a nice haul of D1 transfers following the easing of the transfer rules that allows most transfers to play immediately.
While John A Logan is a JuCo program, and not D1, they will feature a slate of prospects for both the MLB Draft and D1 programs. Two years ago Logan split a similar affair with the Hoosiers. This should be a good test for the Hoosiers. One caution is that Indiana Baseball has been largely on individual workouts so far. There has not been a lot of team practice up to this point and John A Logan is already heavily facing D1 competition to showcase their prospects to MLB and D1 scouts.
John A. Logan will feature one familiar face to Hoosier fans. Pitcher Casper Clark transferred from Indiana to John A Logan over this past summer.
iubase.com will be onsite analyzing the Hoosiers and taking photos. Expect more content this weekend including a post-game media availability with head coach Jeff Mercer.
