McCade Brown had a game for the ages on Saturday. He tied the IU record of 16 strikeouts in a game. A feat he accomplished in 7 innings of work where he also gave up no hits and only two walks. His spiked curveball was unhittable all day.

Nationally Brown was named the D1Baseball/AstroTurf Player of the Week, the Perfect Game/Rawlings Pitcher of the Week, and  Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week for Week 4 of the College Baseball season (week 2 for B1G play).

Regional honors included Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, and Big Baseball Podcast Big Arm announced on Tuesday.

It remains to be seen if he will get the Talking Hoosier Baseball Joey DeNato Red Belt for the week. Tune in on Thursday.
