McCade Brown had a game for the ages on Saturday. He tied the IU record of 16 strikeouts in a game. A feat he accomplished in 7 innings of work where he also gave up no hits and only two walks. His spiked curveball was unhittable all day.
Nationally Brown was named the D1Baseball/AstroTurf Player of the Week, the Perfect Game/Rawlings Pitcher of the Week, and Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week for Week 4 of the College Baseball season (week 2 for B1G play).
Congrats to McCade Brown on his Sweep of the National Awards this week. Perfect Game and D1 Name him National Pitcher of the Week and the B1G names him conference Pitcher of the Week. I guess a school history record setting performance will do that. #iubase ⚪️🔴⚾️ pic.twitter.com/9t3V4zLIGI
