MUNCIE, IN – Ball State responded to both times Indiana tried to pull away in a very competitive road midweek game. With a 1-run lead in the 8th inning, Connor Foley took the mound and got six straight outs to seal victory number 31 for the Hoosiers on the year. Adrian Vega was the winning pitcher allowing just one run in 2.1 innings of middle relief.
Offensively the team was lead by Josh Pyne with two doubles and Bobby Whalen who reached base three times with a double, a single, and a walk. Following the game, the media met with Foley and head coach Jeff Mercer.
Next up the Hoosiers return to the Big Ten (B1G) play in a clash of the top two teams in the league when the Maryland Terrapins come to Bloomington starting Friday at 6pm. See You at the BART!
