Top 9th: Butler 2, Indiana 13

Craig Yoho is on to close the game. Yoho works around a hit and the Hoosiers win 13-2.

Bottom 8th: Butler 2, Indiana 13

Ethan Vecrumba gets an RBI triple to extend the lead and gets driven home by a Bobby Whalen single. Jorge De Goti struck out looking, Murrison strikes out swinging.

Top 8th: Butler 2, Indiana 11

Evan Whiteaker is the new Hoosier pitcher. 1-2-3 inning. Two strikeouts with a 92 fastball/84 off-speed mix.

Bottom 7th: Butler 2, Indiana 11

Sam Murrison gets his first plate appearance of the day and draws a full count walk and steals second, but nothing else going.

Top 7th: Butler 2, Indiana 11

Connor Foley is the new pitcher and gets a nice 1-2-3 inning. Foley sits 94 (touched 96) with a fastball and got a strikeout with an 84 mph change-up. Riley Langerman replaced Ellis at catcher and Sam Murrison replaced Carter Mathison at center, ending Mathison’s chance at the cycle.

Bottom 6th: Butler 2, Indiana 11

With two on and no out Devin Taylor lines out into another unassisted double play to second base. Cerny gets plunked again. Colopy scores on wild pitch and the Hoosiers leave the bases loaded.

Top 6th: Butler 2, Indiana 10

Brayden Risedorph allows 1 run, showing off a 92 mph fastball and 81-84 off speed.

Bottom 5th: Butler 1, Indiana 10

Cerny gets plunked hard to lead off the inning and then steals second. Glasser works a full count walk. Bobby Whalen lines into an unassisted double play to second base. Glasser steals second. Pyne smacks an RBI double into the left center gap. Mathison is denied his shot at the cycle when a pitch hits his foot. Tibbitts strikes out looking.

Top 5th: Butler 1, Indiana 9

Luke Hayden worked around a walk. His 92 mph fastball was working well with a mix of 82 and 88 off speed pitches.

Bottom 4th: Butler 1, Indiana 9

Carter Mathison is now just a single and home run shy of a cycle by leading off the inning with a triple. Tibbitts drives Mathison in with an infield single. Ellis walks. Morgan Colopy hits into a double play. Devin Taylor strikes out to end the inning.

Top 4th: Butler 1, Indiana 8

Gabe Levy works around a walk to end the fourth with no damage. Levy is sitting 80-82, and once he got into the zone, Butler was unable to connect on his offerings.

Bottom 3rd: Butler 1, Indiana 8

Carter Mathison pulls a double down the line for his second hit of the day. Brock Tibbitts works a walk. Mathison and Tibbitts double steal. Ellis hits a rocket right to the right fielder that is collect for a sacrifice fly. Colopy walks. Taylor drives one in a fielder’s choice and drives in the run when the errant throw to get Taylor gets past the first baseman. Cerny drives in Taylor with a single and he steals his first and second bag as a Hoosier to get to third. A Glasser double drives in Cerny. Glasser steals third and Bobby Whalen walks. Pyne grounds out to end the inning.

Cooper Katskee is the new pitcher. His mix includes an 87 MPH fastball mixing in 74-76 breaking ball. A lead off walk advances on a wild pitch and scores on an RBI double. The relay hits the third base umpire and Pyne manages to tag out the runner trying to stretch it into a triple. A batter advances on a strike out passed ball. A fly out is follow by an HBP. Mercer removes Katskee for Gabe Levy with two outs and two on. Levy ends the inning with a strikeout.

Bottom 2nd: Butler 0, Indiana 4

1-2-3 inning on three ground outs.

Top 2nd: Butler 0, Indiana 4

Brooks Ey is the new Indiana pitcher. Pairing an 87 mph fastball a 75 mph breaking pitch, Ey allows two baserunners but allows no runs.

Bottom 1st: Butler 0, Indiana 4

Phillip Glasser leads off the inning with a single. Boby Whalen follows that up with a double to the right-center gap advancing Glasser to third. Pyne bounces a ball into the Hoosier’s bullpen for an RBI ground rule double. Carter Mathison hits the left center field fence for an RBI-double of his own prompting a Butler mound visit. That visit did not help as Brock Tibbitts rips an RBI-double of his own. Matthew Ellis strikes out on a 2-2 pitch below the strike zone. Morgan Colopy grounds out to short. Devin Taylor works a full count walk putting runners on the corners with two outs.

Top 1st: Butler 0, Indiana 0

Ty Bothwell goes 1-2-3. Strikeout, flyout, and through out the attempted bunt hit. Bothwell sitting 89-91, touching 92.
