No midweek game this week – focus turns to Evansville series starting Friday

Indiana University Baseball announced a postponement with no reschedule date set for the Indiana State midweek contest at Bart Kaufman Field due to rainy conditions in the Bloomington area all day today.
Looking at the calendars for both schools: Indiana has no midweek scheduled before the start of B1G play. Indiana State is hosting Purdue on Wednesday, March 30th. Speculation only – It would not be inconceivable to add a Tuesday midweek on March 29th in Bloomington.
Indiana will next face Evansville in a three game series scheduled to start at 5pm on Friday. The postponement could allow for Indiana to rest its heavily used relief pitching staff and better align the starter-reliever pitching strategy for the weekends going forward.
