Zach, Chris, Carl, and Cass discuss a 4-1 week capped off by 4 wins in just three days.

After another disappointing collapse, this time defensively, against Louisville last Tuesday, the Hoosiers faced another condensed series, playing 4 games in three days from Sunday to Tuesday. The results were impressive to say the least. Indiana was the first team this season to hang a loss on tall Michigan State ace lefty Joseph Dzierwa on Sunday. Then a 14-inning act of total domination on Monday got the Hoosiers the series sweep over Michigan State in a pair of run-rule victories. Indiana then deployed a collection of southpaws to beat Ball State last night, while Tyler Cerny broke the program record for being hit by pitches.
In the midseason recognition front, Devin Taylor and Korbyn Dickerson both made the Golden Spikes watch list. Dickerson also added recognition by D1Baseball.com as the national breakout prospect for the season and their B1G Baseball & Beyond Midseason Newcomer of the Year. That same podcast gave honorable mentions to Taylor and Dickerson for potential Player of the Year, Cole Gilley for Newcomers, Jake Hanley and Cooper Malamazian for freshman honors.
And in program news – bidding is out for new turf at the Bart, hopefully to be installed this summer.
