The iubase.com team is looking for an intern to help with coverage of the IU baseball team for the 2020 Spring Semester. Expected duties will be a willingness to be present and in the press box for all home games and media availabilities. iubase.com will have media credentials for these events, and any road games the intern is able to attend including the annual April midweek game at Victory Field in Indianapolis.
Other responsibilities will include writing post game recaps, some previews of the upcoming series, and being available to be on the field post game to obtain quotes and/or capture a video recap of coaches interviews, and grammatically editing articles from other contributors that will be posted to the website.
With these responsibilities there should be no reason that the 100 hours required for 2 credits cannot be achieved. Optional extra activities include feature articles and select appearances on the Talking Hoosier Baseball podcast.
We insist that all applicants are knowledgeable and passionate about the game of baseball.
If interested please send 1) a sample of your writing skills (preferably in the form of a game recap of one that you have recently attended or watched on TV, and 2) a resume, complete with references to gohoosiers@iubase.com.
We would like to have interviews completed and the position filled by October 25th.
