Scoreboard Watching for Hoosier Baseball Effect – 4/11

Hoosier Baseball reminded us all that 2 out RBI’s really are the best kind over and over again last night. Beating Indiana State with six 2 out RBI’s will do that I guess.

If you listen to The Talking Hoosier Baseball Podcast you’ve heard Carl remind us that wins by teams on our schedule are a really good kind of win too. Last night we not only got another Top 50 RPI Win on our resume but games with Hoosier Baseball Effect on the scoreboard went our way as well.

They REALLY went our way. There were 16 games on the Scoreboard with Hoosier Baseball Effect and we went 13-2 with 1 weather cancellation.

You can see the final scores here and after is a link to Episode 10 of Talking Hoosier Baseball if you need a refresher from Carl how this all works.  I’m not even gonna try to explain it here. His RPI info this week begins at about the 29:45 mark.

  1. Does the Ball St v PureDooDoo game count as both a win and a loss on your calculations?

  2. For RPI purposes it is 1 win and 4 losses because BSU plays IU only once (thanks to weather) and TTNTWR plays IU a total of four times (this past weekend’s 3-game set and the midweek on April 25th).
