It has been a very busy few days in the world of Hoosier Baseball. Here’s just a quick recap.

• Sam Travis had a big game yesterday after being notified he had made the Boston Red Sox Opening Day Roster.

• As part of their 2019 Cubs Season Preview, the Chicago Sun Times  gave us 10 must know facts about Kyle Schwarber. 

• The SF Chronicle reported that Josh Phegley will share the Oakland A’s starting catcher position with Nick Hundley based on matchups. 

• Here is the official release from  the B1G Conference awarding Tanner Gordon and Grant Richardson their player of the week awards. The first ever sweep of the weekly awards by Indiana. 

• Coach Mercer was a guest on The Big Baseball Podcast this week. He spoke to the guys extensively about the new hitting approach implemented by him and his staff. 

• Finally, tickets are now on sale for the Indiana vs Ball State game at Victory Field on  Tuesday, April 23. First Pitch is 7pm, tickets cost $8 and Hoosier Baseball will be in the first base dugout.
