Coach Mercer discusses Indiana dropping both games of the doubleheader

CHAPEL HILL, NC – UNC run-ruled the Hoosiers, again putting up crooked numbers in the 5th and 6th innings to take game one of the series via run rule. Indiana took a late lead in the finale and lost it in heartbreaking fashion when a routine toss to get the game clinching out was thrown away, forcing extra innings that ended with UNC walking off the Hoosiers in the bottom of the 11th with a solo homer. IUBASE-DOT-COM had this postgame interview with head coach Jeff Mercer.
The Hoosiers return to Bloomington and will open the home slate with a midweek contest Tuesday at 4pm against Bradley. See you at the Bart!
