OMAHA, NE – The Big Ten Conference (B1G) has announced the postseason awards for the conference during the opening game of the B1G Tournament. The headline for the Hoosiers is Jake Hanley being named Freshman of the Year. He joins teammate Devin Taylor plus alumni Sam Travis and Alex Dickerson as having earned the honor for Indiana. Hanley was also named to the All-B1G Second Team as an At-large and of course the All-Freshman Team.
First Team & All-Defense Team

2025 MLB Draft prospects Devin Taylor and Korbyn Dickerson comprise two-thirds of the conference’s First Team outfield slots. The duo has been prolific at the plate, combining for 35 home runs, with Dickerson leading the team at 19 long balls so far. Taylor leads Indiana with an impressive 1.173 OPS. Dickerson was also included among three outfielders on the conference’s All-Defensive Team.
Second Team

Graduate Student right-handed pitcher Cole Gilley was given second team honors in addition to Hanley. Gilley has at times been the among most effective arms in conference play. He is 9-3 with a 3.88 ERA and an eye-popping 1.10 WHIP.
All-Freshman Team

Hanley was joined on the All-Freshman team by the rest of the freshman infielders in shortstop Cooper Malamazian and third baseman Will Moore. Hoosiers made up a majority of the infielders honored on the All-Freshman team.
Sportsmanship Award

Four-year senior Grant Holderfield is Indiana’s honoree for the B1G Sportsmanship award. The Lefty pitcher has battled injury and a complete re-tooling in his career and has managed to become a trusted arm out of the bullpen. He’s been praised as a leader and someone willing to adapt on the fly to get needed outs on the mound.
