Indiana got off to a solid start to the week pulling ahead late in a mid-week match at the Bart against Coach Mercer’s alma mater Wright State. Then the Hoosiers traveled to Eugene, Oregon. Oregon was a question mark nationally because of the very weak schedule they had played. After sweeping the Hoosiers, D1Baseball has now ranked the Ducks as no. 21 in the nation, the third B1G team to enter the rankings, all former Pac-12 teams.

Indiana had leads in both Friday and Sunday games, but lost those leads and eventually the games by a single run. On Saturday the only run scored was a Cole Decker home run and that was one of only two hits on the day. Indiana is now 7-12 on the season and in a huge conference hole: 1-5.
