Indiana extended their winning streak to five games on Tuesday. A typically shaky Purple Ace’s pitching staff held Indiana’s potent offense at bay much of the day with a high off-speed mix inducing a lot of week contact. Indiana ran out a lot of arms including senior Ryan Kraft, played excellent defense, and kept it close. A late 4-4 was broken with a solo shot by junior outfielder Devin Taylor in the 7th and a two-run blast by freshman Cooper Malamazian in the 8th.
After the game, the media spoke with Malamazian, Kraft, and head coach Jeff Mercer.
Indiana next travels to Los Angeles for their first B1G series on the west coast as they take on a very hot UCLA team currently leading the conference standings. See You at the Bart!
